Performing Arts

47 North, Inc. built the PLAT with the mission of bringing an affordable, intimate venue for local artists to bring their talents to the Pontiac community, creating a theatre experience in a beautiful, historic, quality event to their patrons.

Movies

With our professional independent movie theatre, we present contemporary and classic movies geared for all ages. Join us for one of our Themed Arts Series, Community Series, or a premiere from one of the many local filmmakers. Pontiac’s Little Art Theatre features movies throughout the year.

Our History

This Grand Lady (Pontiac’s Little Art Theatre a.k.a the “PLAT”) was born in 1868. This three-story building is listed in Pontiac’s historical records as “the TURK building” and categorized as a “GRO” establishment — the local grocery/dry goods store. The business survived 41 years until its last record in 1909.
